To make your own Nectar for the feeders, use 4 cups of water, bring to a boil and add one cup of sugar, the Nectar you purchase in the stores is red, and attracts too many ants. I always make my own Nectar and the Humming Birds come to the feeder all Summer Long. My feed is made of red glass, as I said they love bright colors.
